Your gift creates stability, dignity, and hope

As someone who believes in the power of community, you understand that recovery takes more than treatment—it takes belonging.

At Touchstone Mental Health, we see that truth every day. And nowhere is it more evident than at Rising Cedar Apartments, where residents like George and Barbara found not just housing and support, but a community that had their back through it all.

Now each celebrating three years of sobriety, George and Barbara say it wouldn’t have been possible without what they call their Rising Cedar family—the staff and neighbors who stood by them every step of the way.

“They know when you’re going through a rough time, and they know how to handle situations like that,” George said. “It’s just given me a place where I can get what I’m looking for — stability.”

That stability is life-changing.

At Rising Cedar—and at Minnehaha Commons and Kyle Garden Square—Touchstone provides 24-hour onsite services to help adults living with mental health and substance use challenges find safety, support, and purpose. Residents live in private apartments, not dormitory-style settings, giving them the dignity and independence to rebuild their lives.

“You sort of get your dignity back. You get a certain sense of purpose back,” Barbara said.

Recovery isn’t always linear. Some residents step away for treatment and return when they’re ready. Their home—and their community—are waiting for them.

“Even though I had problems with my addiction, I was able to go out, get help, and come back and still have my apartment,” George said.

That’s the difference your support makes. Your generosity allows Touchstone to offer stability through the ups and downs of recovery, helping people find strength, resilience, and hope.

When you give to Touchstone Mental Health, you make it possible for more people like George and Barbara to rebuild their lives and live with dignity and connection.

Would you consider a gift this season of $25, $50, $100, $250, $500, or any amount that feels meaningful to you? Together, we can help more people find home, stability, and hope.

With deep gratitude,

Ellie Skelton
Executive Director

P.S. Your generosity powers everything we do. Giving to Touchstone by December 31 ensures that more people can find safety, community, and supportive housing in the year ahead. Thank you for being part of our community of care.
