Touchstone Mental Health to Renovate Lyric Lane IRTS Facility in Fridley

June 2025

Touchstone Mental Health has announced plans to renovate its Lyric Lane Intensive Residential Treatment Services (IRTS) building in Fridley, Minnesota. The project will expand and modernize the existing facility, creating single bedrooms for each client and enhancing space for staff and wellness services, including counseling.

The renovation will reconfigure areas formerly used for a nursing home program, increasing privacy and comfort for individuals receiving mental health treatment. The improvements are designed to support healing and recovery in a trauma-informed environment.

This project is funded in part by the Anoka County Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program, and all work will comply with state and federal labor laws, including the Davis-Bacon Act and the Minnesota Prevailing Wage Act.

The construction project, designed by Blumentals/Architecture Inc., is now open for bids from qualified contractors. Electronic bids will be accepted via Quest CDN until 2:00 p.m. on June 19, 2025. A mandatory pre-bid meeting and site walkthrough will be held at 10:00 a.m. on June 12, 2025, at 7590 Lyric Lane NE in Fridley.

For more information about the project or bidding requirements, interested parties can contact Michele McGee, Director of Operations at Touchstone Mental Health, at mmcgee@touchstonemh.org or 612-874-6409.

This renovation is a key part of Touchstone’s mission to provide safe, supportive, and dignified care for adults living with serious mental illness.

“We are so excited for this renovation! This project is a vital step forward in our mission- we’re not just modernizing the building, we’re creating space that truly honors the dignity and healing journey of each individual. This renovation reflects our deep commitment to mental health recovery, equity, and building stronger, more compassionate communities for all.”
