Honoring New Hope Apartments: A Legacy of Care and Community
After more than 40 years of service, Touchstone Mental Health will close New Hope Apartments on June 30, 2025. This marks the end of a remarkable chapter grounded in healing, connection, and long-term support for people living with serious mental illness.
New Hope Apartments has always been more than housing—it’s been a true place of belonging. In 2023, residents stayed an average of over 11 years, a powerful reflection of the community’s strength and stability. Due to state policy changes affecting Customized Living services for individuals under 55, and safety concerns with retrofitting the space for older adults, we’ve made the difficult decision to close the program. We are deeply grateful to the many longtime staff members who supported residents with compassion and dedication. To everyone who helped shape this legacy: thank you. The spirit of New Hope lives on in the lives it touched—and in the mission we carry forward. |
