Minnehaha Commons Grand Opening

Touchstone and Alliance Housing celebrated the grand opening of Minnehaha Commons with supporters, donors, residents and staff. Minnehaha Commons is Minnesota’s first supportive housing program for people ages 55 and older who have experienced homelessness. Speakers included Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey, Cathy ten Broeke, Minnesota Director to Prevent and End Homelessness, and Acooa Ellis, Senior Vice President of Community Impact at Greater Twin Cities United Way. Minnehaha Commons resident, Jana, also shared her story of being homeless and how she found her new, permanent home at Minnehaha Commons.
