Urgent Appeal-Help Secure Critical Mental Health Services at Touchstone

Dear Friend of Touchstone,

At Touchstone, we provide a vital lifeline for those living with severe mental illness, and now, we need your help. We urgently need to raise $814,000 over the next five years for essential repairs and upgrades to ensure our facilities remain safe and secure for those we serve. These improvements include exterior updates, roof repairs, parking lot restoration, and critical tuck-pointing at Lyric Lane, a facility that serves as a refuge for those in desperate need of stability and care.

More than half of the individuals in our Intensive Residential Treatment Services (IRTS) programs live with thought disorders like schizophrenia or schizoaffective disorder, and the support they receive from Touchstone is often lifesaving. As Dinah, a former Touchstone Board Member, shared:

“The kindness, dignity, and respect my son received at Lyric Lane helped him find his way. Today, he’s living in supportive housing and has been stable for six years. Knowing he had Touchstone’s support gave me peace of mind.”

We cannot afford to wait. While similar programs are closing, Touchstone is committed to expanding access and preserving our Lyric Lane facility. We are purchasing the property from Allina Health, and to do so, we must raise $814,000 to cover capital repairs. Without these essential updates, we risk compromising the very spaces that provide stability to those navigating severe mental illness.

Your immediate gift today, in any amount, will help us reach this goal. Every contribution, large or small, makes a difference—and right now, your donation will go twice as far, thanks to a generous matching gift from the Otto Bremer Trust.

Please help us preserve this critical resource. The individuals we serve cannot afford for us to delay—and every dollar you give will be doubled.

With gratitude and urgency,

Ellie Skelton
