Touchstone Mental Health is dedicated to inspiring hope, health, and well-being for people living with mental illness. Through innovative services, supportive housing, and community-based programs, we partner with individuals on their journey to recovery and stability. Each year, Touchstone connects with thousands of people across Minnesota, offering holistic, person-centered support.

The Touchstone Board of Directors is a diverse group of community leaders, professionals, advocates, and individuals with lived experience who are passionate about advancing mental health access and ending homelessness. The Board provides strategic guidance and thoughtful stewardship to ensure Touchstone can continue to serve our community with impact and integrity.

We’re Looking for New Board Members

If you are passionate about mental health, housing, or residential treatment this is a meaningful opportunity to make a difference. Board members contribute their time, expertise, and leadership to help Touchstone grow, innovate, and improve the lives of the people we serve.

We especially welcome individuals with experience in:

  • Marketing and communications
  • Fundraising and philanthropy
  • Real estate and housing development
  • Mental health advocacy or lived experience with mental illness
  • Other corporate skills and connections

The Process to Join

  1. Introductory conversation with our Governance Committee to learn more about Touchstone and board responsibilities.
  2. One-on-one meeting with a current board member to gain personal insights.
  3. Confirm your interest in moving forward.
  4. Board consideration and, if approved, invitation to join.

Board Member Expectations

  • Serve a 3-year term.
  • Attend 6–8 board and committee meetings per year.
  • Join at least one active committee (Development, Executive, Governance, or Finance).
  • Support Touchstone’s mission by contributing your skills, time, and resources.
